Currently running a test with only custom audiences and LAL for one of my songs to get to 100K. Cpc seems to rollercoaster between .18-.28 using tier 1 only countries.
Notes: Campaign began Sunday at 12AM and has taken a few days to come down in cpc. Before ios14, adspend on this song was $125 total which got me to 30k streams since cpc was between .07-.11. I turned it off and let it grow on its own organically and hit 56k last week so decided last Sunday morning to give it another run and see where it takes me after another $100 is applied at $15 a day. Regardless it will still hit 100K on its own over time.
Targeting: Spotify only. You could include other detailed interests and seems like it brings down more cpc as I have another campaign in toneden achieving .10,.12, and .13 cpc. I’ve kept it with Spotify only between my custom and look alike audiences.
Placements: Ad visuals are the same across all audiences and using feeds on FB & IG. Sample visual is in post.Amount of streams per day: it ranges and still tough to tell from what the campaign is doing. Before running it it was averaging between 74-100 streams a day without adspend. After a couple of days I see the bump in 176 a day with $15 adspend and will like to see how this continue the rest of the week to confirm how many streams are actually coming in from the ad spend.
Recommendations: Friends, IOS14 is here to stay and it doesn’t look like things will be the same again in terms of cpc. I’ve worked in other ad accounts where cpc is between .25-.30 running at $10 a day and getting decent amount of streams. You could try upping your adspend to increase the amount of daily conversions and then comparing per day how many conversions you are receiving per adset and then between all adsets combined. Unless your adspend is $3-500 a day then multiple ads and multiple adsets will work. Lol this wasn’t the case before ios14. For $10-15 which I’m leaning more towards this becoming the new normal in daily adspend you could get between 50-60 conversions or more. With $5-10 you are looking at between 20-30 and with iOS14 translating into 5-17 streams based of the 20-30 conversions.

Currently running a campaign in Hypeddit using Top 4, Tier 1 countries (U.S.A., U.K., Canada, Australia).
These are estimates between multiple campaigns I’m currently running. When I ran previous campaigns for other artists & labels, cpc with tier 1 was always under .10 and on most days under .05 using tier 1, then tier 1 top 4 countries. Now a days I’m ranging between .13-.30 which is still hard for me to accept as the new normal or average. Niche genres are a hit or a miss.
Working in multiple genres and still going for tier 1, I’ve seen cpc between .24-.40, with .40 perhaps becoming the normal with that niche genre. If you are running previous campaigns your cpc, as long as you don’t touch it, will remain the way it was before the April update in ios14.
Based over 45 different tests and counting, unless your goal is to acquire data from these conversion campaigns that you can then funnel into your own website traffic, lead generation, e-commerce sales, or other objectives, it will take time, patience, and budget.

Focus more on increasing your saves and the user generated playlists & less on the streams and algorithms. When you build enough of the latter your streams will remain consistent like this song for example and before adspend it was getting 74-100 a day which over time translates between 6-700 streams a week which equates to 2-3k streams a month.
This is just for 1 song as I have 14 other songs. My long term goal is to get each of my songs over 100,000 or more so that my monthly return on investment or payouts from DistroKid & AWAL go up. Hope this information helps!
